Layout Styles

With Layout Styles, user can control the way the information displayed as on the nodes and pipes, unlimited number can be created but only one style can be assigned to any network, when modifying nodes or pipes the associated style to their networks will be applied, but this is not the case with all the commands (at least for the time being). User must make sure the information is updated by applying the styles manually.

Layout Styles

( 1 ) A list of all networks in the file with ( 2 ) the associated style

( 3 ) A list of all available style, select to assign ( 4 ) this style to a network or to Edit ( 6 ) the style (except the Basic Style which cannot be edited.

( 5 ) Click to start a new style dialogue.

( 7 ) Apply to selected nodes and pipes only of the highlighted network.

( 8 ) Apply to all node and pipes of the highlighted network.

Profile Settings

( 1 ) Labels of Crossing pipes in profiles can be customized here, (see below).
( 2 ) Node labels, user can select what information to show in the Attribs of the nodes by clicking (2) Add button.

( 6 ) Same thing applied to Pipe Labels ( Arrow Block Attribs).

Customizing Labels Crossing Pipes in Profiles

Text written in ( 2 ) below will appear as a label of the crossing pipes, however, some special codes will be translated to pipe properties, these codes are listed in the drop down list( 4 ). Selecting any one will add it to the end of the current label in ( 2 ).
( 1 ) The text here will appear in the previous dialog box ( 1 ) above instead of the unfriendly text of the label ( 2 ) so try to make it short and informative.
( 4 ) This button will reset the label to the default value to show Section Size, Network Name and Invert Level.
Code details:
{ Must start with left curly bracket

( 5 ) Custom labels can be created here, by selecting [Custom …] from the drop down menu ( 1 )
( 6 ) If [ Custom…] selected this will provide the required codes of the node properties … (see example below)

Example how to use Customize a Label

In this example the IL is followed by space then the Flow Direction Code {FD0} then a space then the All Invert Levels Code {IM2}

The result is

Codes will be replaced by the real data when style applied to nodes or pipes.

The Code details is as follows

{ Must start with left curly bracket

IM Followed by 2 Letters

0 Then one digit to be used to define the decimal digits if it is a number or to change the text case (0=lowercase, 1=UPPER, 2=No Change}

} Must be closed with right curly bracket

The drop down list on the right side will help users to insert the required codes.
The {IM?} Code the only one to fill as many Node Attribs as the number of the connected pipes.
{FD?} Code will be ignored if none of the level codes used, ({IM?} {LL?} or {IL?}
( ) Created style need to be assigned to the networks replacing the old one in order to be applied, typically the default style is Basic, this style shows no data and cannot be edited.
